OUYANG Mingbao, dean of automotive engineering and director of the key national laboratory of automobile safety and energy efficiency, has recently delivered a speech on the development of mini electric car in the university.
        The car is smaller and lighter than the Chery QQ, around 2.7 meters long. Its one charge range is 50-60 km, offering 1-3 seats. The first row space arranges single seat for driver, offering more space than ordinary cars. Concerning the prices, one equipped with normal batteries will be around 20,000 yuan, and a lithium-battery equipped one will cost around 30,000 yuan. The low power         consumption car can be charged with a household plug.

        OUYANG exposed that the university has produced a prototype and received production invitations from makers backed by their local governments.
